HEALTH DEPARTMENT

Comboni Samaritans of Gulu health centre II is a catholic faith-based health facility located in Alokolum Kirombe Sub-ward, Kirombe Parish, Layibi – Bardege Division, Gulu City – Northern Uganda. The health facility is supervised by Gulu City Health Team and Gulu Archdiocese Health Department Office. The facility operates under the body of Uganda Catholic Medical Bureau (UCMB) as Private Not for Profit (PNFP) and the health facility is licensed by Ministry of Health (MoH) under the umbrella of Uganda medical and dental practitioners’ council.

The health facility serves the catchment population of 12,154 as per the F/Y 2023/2024 and offers promotive, preventative and curative services to community members of the above stated catchment population and beyond. The facility operates in an Outpatient Patient Department (OPD) and the services offered includes: – Maternal child health (MCH) services, Laboratory services, outpatient medical consultation and treatment, Reproductive Health Services (RHS), Outreaches and Referrals, etc.

Goal

The overall objective is to provide equitable healthcare services tailored to the needs of the beneficiaries that includes; promotive, preventative and curative healthcare services.

Specific objectives:

    1. To provide outpatient medical consultation and treatment to the community members.

    2. To provide laboratory services to the community members.
    3. To provide reproductive and maternal child health (MCH) services to the community members.
    4. To provide preventive and promotive health services to the community members.

Target group: All the members of the community.
