ORGANIZATION STRUCTURE

The organization has a Board of Governors, Executive Committee, Management Team, Quality assurance-grievance-disciplinary Committee, and General Meeting which all together constitutes different levels of the organization and secures its governance and accountability.

Board of Governors

The Board of Governors component is the custodian of the organization with the supreme tasks of policymaking and governing and controlling CSG activities both internal and external. It chooses and appoints the top and senior management of the organization. It also ensures that the juridical personality of the organization and assets are properly maintained and utilized for the good of the organization. The memberships are chosen from or appointed by the five founding or historical stakeholders: the Archdiocese of Gulu, Comboni Missionaries, Comboni Missionary Sisters, Comboni Lay Missionaries, registered members of the organization, and Good Samaritan ONLUS.

Executive Committee

The Executive Committee is the top management of CSG organization. It is charged with the day-to-day activities, implementation of the policies set by the Board of Governors, and providing and communicating to the Board of Governors with information necessary in determining policies, monitoring, implementing, and taking strategic CSG decisions.

Management Committee

The Management Committee organ is charged with assisting and advising the Executive Committee with the formulation of departmental plans, budgets, and data analysis of the departmental performance. It is composed of members from the top and senior management.

Quality Assurance, Disciplinary and Grievance Committee

The Quality Assurance, Discipline & Grievance committee is charged with enabling the organization to continuously improve the quality of services delivered, assure impartial management of grievances, and discipline of staff below the top and senior management levels. It is composed of members from the top and senior management of CSG.

Other Committees

Additional committees can be established basing on the arise of specific issues requiring more in-depth and speedy reactions. Mostly, these are issues relating to a limited life span. When established, either by the Board of Governors or Executive Committee, they receive clear and specific terms of reference, including reporting lines and time-frames.

General Meeting

The General Meeting is the consultative and public relations organ of the Organization. Its composition includes, besides the members of the Board and of the Organization’s management and personnel, all registered members of the organization. Invitation to the General Meeting can also be extended by the Board of Governors to other stakeholders based on specific needs.
